Amany Abdelnour
Master of Development Practice Candidate, Humphrey School of Public Affairs, University of Minnesota
I was born and raised in Upper Egypt, earned my bachelors degree in economics from the American University in Cairo, and minored in political science and business administration. I studied for a year at the University of Chicago as an international exchange student. Since graduation, I have been working in research and consulting with a focus on development, tackling multiple development challenges including informal employment, small and medium enterprises development, entrepreneurship, women empowerment, financial inclusion, and refugees' access to finance. In Egypt, I used to volunteer with Injaz Egypt and Student Action for Refugees on projects related to education. I am currently a Master of Development Practice student at The University of Minnesota where I also volunteer at two different fronts: education and community engagement.
