Arely Lopez

Arely is a fourth-year undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies and Political Science with a minor in Entrepreneurship at the University of California Los Angeles. As a student leader at UCLA, she is involved in making her campus more equitable and inclusive through working as a Resident Assistant leading the Latin Business Student Association and as a project manager for Net Impact��a pro-bono consulting organization. Coming from an interdisciplinary academic background at the nexus between the social sciences and STEM she is eager to build a career around empowering communities and future generations with access to a sustainable environment. Born in raised in Southern California Arely comes from a Latinx background with parents from El Salvador and Mexico. She is excited about using her passion for serving the community to work towards building a green equitable economy. Arely�s research interests and experience range from climate change and environmental justice clean technology and renewable energy and environmental public health. She enjoys exploring new places cooking and attempting to sing along to her favorite musicals.
