Daniel Kleinman

Founder & CEO, Seaworthy Collective

Daniel Kleinman is Seaworthy Collective's Founder and CEO, and a marine roboticist. Daniel received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida, and a Master of Professional Science in Exploration Science from the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences. As an undergraduate, Daniel interned with the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and became a University Innovation Fellow. After graduating in 2015, Daniel spent two years as a pilot and test engineer for Bluefin Robotics' unmanned underwater vehicles in Boston. Daniel spent the following three years in San Diego as a navy contractor contributing to mechanical engineering R&D for maritime systems. Daniel launched Seaworthy Collective in September 2020. Seaworthy Collective is a startup community and venture studio empowering entrepreneurs driving regenerative ocean and climate impact. As the first BlueTech venture studio in the United States, Seaworthy co-creates and grows startups to develop systems of solutions and regenerative blue economies at scale. Together with its non-profit foundation, Seaworthy works to break down systemic and socioeconomic barriers to make ocean innovation accessible, inclusive, and interdisciplinary.
