Dominick Dusseau
Research Associate, Woodwell Climate Research Center
Dominick Dusseau is a Research Associate at the Woodwell Climate Research Center where he provides actionable physical climate risk information to decision makers by analyzing data from climate models. He is helping build Woodwell Climates partnerships with under resourced cities that need climate risk assessments. With a focus on flood risk analysis, Dominick is combining storm water and surface water flood models to understand how intensifying rainfall and rising seas will impact urban flooding. He is also building novel digital elevation models to map future sea level rise with greater accuracy and creating high resolution maps of future extreme precipitation. Prior to joining Woodwell Climate, his work involved sustainability issues in Miami, FL, statistical analysis for the US Navy, and inland flood modeling in New York, NY. He has a B.A. in both Physics and Mathematics from the University of Virginia and an M.A. in Climate and Society from Columbia University.
