Mark Haver

Mark Haver is a prominent young ocean health activist based in Washington, DC. This past year, he has advised ocean and environmental clients on policy and communications at a lobbying firm in DC, and he will be working closely with Sustainable Ocean Alliance, an international, youth-driven, ocean health non-profit, in 2022. He's been involved with SOA for more than four years, where he chaired the inaugural Youth Policy Advisory Council. He has led policy campaigns against deep seabed mining and for a youth-led, stakeholder-driven ocean climate policy framework known as the Global Blue New Deal. His activism has been featured by NYC Climate Week and COP 26 and he looks forward to continuing to engage youth across North America and globally behind a call for ocean and climate action.
