Sumedha Rao specializes in advancing robust and inclusive climate action in cities through interdisciplinary, data-driven, collaborative, and creative project management. She is currently the Sustainability Specialist at Louisville Metro Government, a merged city-county government in the state of Kentucky, where she works to design and implement climate mitigation and adaptation strategies, and make them more accessible to Louisville�s residents and city employees. She has a background in interdisciplinary sustainability with a focus on the urban and built environment. Previously, she has worked in the fields of environmental advocacy, green building, and environmental higher education in a variety of socio-political contexts in India and the United States. Sumedha holds an MS in Sustainability Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a BS in Environmental Science from St. Joseph�s College in Bengaluru, India. She also holds the LEED AP accreditation. In her personal life, Sumedha is an aspiring minimalist and zero-waster.
