Vanessa Ishimwe

Hi! I'm Vanessa, and I'm so excited to participate in the Climate Summit! I am a passionate advocate for sustainability and environmental justice. I'm currently a law student at Georgetown Law, where I serve as president of the Georgetown Environmental Law Society. I also work as a law clerk at the Department of Justice in their environmental enforcement section. Before law school, I studied environmental science and political science at Emory University and interned at an environmental NGO. While my family is originally from Rwanda, I grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, with two brothers and two sisters. In my free time, I enjoy reading science fiction and fantasy novels and trying out new brunch spots in Atlanta and DC.
